​Arrival in Antalya! We hope you arrive latest at 6 pm (if you did not arrive already yesterday), so we have time for an Efes or two together and time to talk about upcoming days before the dinner! Welcome dinner will be at 8 pm!

Day 03 

Tasucu - Cappadocia

Today we drive to Cappadocia, which is one of Turkey’s magnificent nature destinations full of history! 
Before Cappadocia, we have 371 beautiful Highland kilometers. But first we drive to multicultural Tarsus where we stop at Nusrat Main Cultural Park. Tarsus 'waterfalls' are a good place for a second morning coffee!
In Cappadocia, we check in to a unique cave hotel! In the evening you will be our guest at an oriental Turkish night show with dinner!

 

Tuz Gölu Salt flats

Day 05 

Cappadocia - Salt Lake - Konya

Today we head to Tuz Gölü salt flats after breakfast! Tuz Gölü is not like Salt Lake City salt lake, but this is also big! :) From salt flats, we drive via Kulu to Konya which is full of history! Konya is also a pilgrim destination for Sufis! And even so, it's also a good overnight destination for bikers!

Day 07 

Pamukkale - Fetihye

In the morning before the tourist busses come we take a hike to Pamukkale pools! And if you are an early bird and want to fly, there are balloon flights also at Pamukkale! 
From Pamukkale, we continue from curve to curve to the coast and there to the lively Fethiye, which is also popular among domestic tourists!

Day 09 

Fetihye - Antalya

Very nice driving day again! On our last driving day, we follow most of the day the magnificent Mediterranean coastline on D400 where you get easily a great driving picture or two. In Demre we have today's cultural stop and visit (Santa's) St. Nikola's birthplace and the historic church he founded. This church is also accepted by the Orthodox Church as a pilgrimage destination. Before we hit the road to Antalya, we visit shortly the ancient Myra! After returning the bikes it's time for the farewell dinner!

Day 02 

Antalya - Tasucu

Our first Turkish breakfast and then we hit the road! D400 is a bit serious our 1st hour to Kizilagaç! But from there it will be better and better all the way to Tasucu! You will love it! We will drive today also through one of Turkey's 
popular holiday destinations, Alanya!
Our destination today is Tasucu, which is lively small city on the Mediterranean coast line! And yes, we will stay overnight near the shore!

Cappadocia

Balloon - Shoes - Taxi - Bike? :) ° b

Day off, it means also Cappadocia as you like! If you are an early bird, one great thing to do is a Balloon tour. It is wonderful, however, you need to get up 0430am! Balloon tour or not, we have a local Cappadocia guide to show you the places… it’s a big area and you get more out of it with a guide. But that said, you are very much free to stroll around with your own timetable if you want!

Day 06 

Konya - Egirdir - Pamukkale

Today we have a very beautiful ride via Egirdir to Pamukkale which is our destination today! And it's not more or less than the world-famous Pamukkale with its white pools and one of the main attractions in Turkey! In Pamukkale city centre, there are several small local restaurants facing white Pamukkale... touristic all, but great places for dinner!

Day 08 

Fetihye

Holiday in Holiday! For a biker, there are many nice small roads around Fethiye if you feel for riding! Nearby is also Marmaris if you feel to see that! Sailing can also be organized! Ölüdeniz Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey... and yes, there are naturally also archaeological sites like the tomb of Amyntas and more... :)

Why to ride Turkey with motorcycle?

Riding a motorcycle in Turkey is an incredible adventure for many reasons. Turkey’s diverse landscapes, great roads and well-developed road network.  Today Turkey is also very cost-effective! Budget-friendly for travelers. Everything is much more affordable compared to Western Europe. And it’s full of history. Much more than o normal biker can intake. But yes, it was an important part of Roman Empire!

 

Is Turkey safe?

Yes, Turkey is safe. Only border areas with Iran and Syria can be insecure, but we don’t go even close to those areas. Biggest risk are creative Turkish drivers how don’t care about others especially in cities. In rural areas, watch for cows, sheep, and dogs crossing roads, especially at night. But yes, generally it’s as safe as Spain or Italy.

 

What are the roads like in Turkey?

We ride on 100% paved roads. A mix of, excellent highways, winding mountain roads and remote rural roads. Most of them in very good condition and some in a bit of less good condition. And some can be in interesting condition.  But we are not seeking the bad roads on this trip.

What are the main riding highlights of the tour?

Cappadocia and its surreal landscape of fairy chimneys, underground cities, and hot air balloons. Coastal ride along the turquoise Mediterranean.  Beautiful countryside with it’s small roads. Whether you’re chasing coastal views, mountain thrills, or cultural encounters, Turkey offers an unforgettable motorcycle adventure.

 

Is this tour right for me?

Shortly yes, if you have some years of motorcycle touring experience. This is an easy going tour with a lot of curvy roads but not any hairpins!

 

Do I need a visa to Turkey?

Yes, you need an e-visa and you get it from here https://www.evisa.gov.tr.  Price is about 50€.

 

Can I bring a passenger?

Yes, passengers are very much welcome on this easy tour.

 

How heavy tour is this?

This is a 2,5/5 tour when measured with PeterPanPlaner’s ordeal meter. This is an quite easy going trip and the length of the days depend a lot on how many stops we have for what ever reason during the day. 

 

How are the hotels?

Standard on this tour is good and very good midrange 3-4 star hotels. 

 

Is there a support vehicle for luggage?

No, there is not a support car so all what you need is traveling with you on the bike. 

 

What is the weather like in Turkey?

The most balanced weather, comfortable temperatures, and fewer crowds are in Spring (April–June) and autumn (September-October). Temperature: 15–25°C (59–77°F),  making it ideal for most riders. July and August works naturally also, but they are hot.

 

What is the time zone of Turkey?

Turkey is in UTC+3 time zone. This means Turkey is 1 hour ahead of Central European Time and 10 hours ahead of Californian time. But only -1,5 hour after India time.  

 

What is Turkish food like?

Turkish cuisine is one of the world’s most diverse, flavorful, and historically rich culinary traditions. It’s a fusion of Central Asian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Balkan influences, shaped by the Ottoman Empire’s vast reach and Turkey’s geographical diversity.
