0km
Welcome to Athens, to the cradle of European culture! We wish you would be at the hotel by 6pm when it's time for a couple of Mythos (local beers). And there are a number of places around the hotel for a smaller or a bigger hunger.
Day 03
Olympia - Patras - Preveza
258km, 3h 30m ° b,d
Morning begins with a small hike to the ancient Olympic village of Olympia, where you can practice stadium running, for example! :) And this is still the place where the Olympic flame will be lit and where from it will start move towards the next Olympic games! And after that, one of your best driving days ever!
Day 05
Konitsa - Pindos NP - Kalambaka
186km, 3h 49m ° b,d
Surprise surprise! In the program today is your best biking day ever
... again! :) But we believe that you can handle it! We drive through the magnificent Pindos Natural Park to its western edge, from where we head towards one of the most special places in Greece, Meteora! Which is famous for its scenic monasteries. We are staying overnight in little Kalambaka, which is just next to Meteora!
Day 07
Kalambaka - Koziakas - Delphi
272km, 4h 32m ° b,d
Today we head in the morning to the Koziakas mountain area. And yes, we find some awesome roads again. From there we turn our bikes towards, no more and no less than to the hub of the world! The ancient Delphi was considered as the pole of the world, and the place where oracles had answers about future harvest as well as of the luck in the war!
Day 09
Athens - Larnaca
0km
Time to say goodbye to Athens. But, if you have not been to Athens before, it's a great idea to arrive to Athens a day or two before we hit the road! But today we fly to Larnaca, Cyprus. A little pearl in the Mediterranean Sea. Our 1h 45m flight is about noon, so we have late afternoon and evening free for Larnaca.
Day 11
Kato Pyrgos - Paphos - Larnaca
236km, 4h 38m ° b,d
We start our day with a very beautiful drive through Paphos Forrest to Paphos town. And yes, there will be a curve and another! Paphos is a great stop for the lunch and from there we follow the cost line more or less to Larnaca.
And unfortunately, in the evening its time for farewell dinner!
Day 02
Athens - Corinth - Olympia
282km, 4h 77m ° b,d
Bows towards the heart of ancient Greece and the masing Palenoponnese peninsula. Our first stop is at the historical Corinth Canal! And after Corinth Canal you start to get a good idea of why the ancient gods where smiling when they where riding the roads of Palenoponnese with they hevenly vehicles thousand of years ago! :)
Day 04
Preveza - Ioannina - Konitsa
170km, 3h 16m ° b,d
And ... today is once again the best driving day ever! The route of the day is not written in stone. Let's see where we are after the lunch break! In Greece there is always a little longer fun road and another little bit longer fun road and so. However we will stay overnight at Konitsa near Pipingo mountains!
Day 06
Kalambaka
0km(!?) ° b
Day of as you like! Meteora's uniques monasteries are a kind of a must. :] Kalambaka is facing unique table mountains. They where built during the years 1200-1500 AD. Today 20 of 24 is remaining. Six of them are active and open to travellers. And... in the afternoon your tour leader is happy to take those who want for a shorter or longer fun ride on the small fun roads!
Day 08
Delphi - Athens
186km, 3h 27m ° b,d
In the morning we spend an hour or two in ancient Delphi. We visit the midpoint stone of the world at the Temple of Apollo! Around noon we will continue to south east, to the heart of western civilisation, and the starting point of our Greece ride, Athens. Before dinner, you will have time to climb with your tour leader to the roof of Athens, to Lucabettus Hill, from where Athens opens up at your feet.
Day 10
Larnaca - Mt Olympus - Kato Pyrgos
206km, 4h 27m ° b,d
There are two Mt Olympus. One in Greece and one in Cyprus. Today we drive up to the Cyprus version in Toordos national park. Mt Olympus Cyprus is also the highest point of the country, 1952m. And in the winter time you can ski here! For the night we drive to the idyllic Kato Pyrgos village to the north shore of Cyprus.

Day 12
Larnaca >
0km
Time to fly home, if you don't stay at Larnaca or Nicosia for an extra night or two! Or maybe visit the Turkish side of Cyprus. In 1974, a military coup in Cyprus, backed by the Greek junta, tried to unite the island with Greece. In response, Turkey invaded 37% of north Cyprus, claiming it was acting as a guarantor power under the 1960 Treaty of Guarantee, to protect the Turkish Cypriot population. And Turkey is still controls the territory it captured in 1974.

What makes this tour special?
From a biker’s point of view, mainland Greece, which is a biker’s paradise if you love sea, mountains and fantastic curvy roads. Some of the best riding roads in Europe. And the history. You can see, feel and touch the history of the whole Western civilization. And on this tour you have also the unique Cypros!
What is the weather like in Greece and Cyprus?
On our tour months, May and September it is as good as it gets for motorcycling. As all over the Europe, it might rain in any month of the year, but you can expect good or excellent driving conditions. In May day temperatures are normally +15 - +25 °C. In September +20 - +30 °C.
What are the roads like in Greece and Cyprus?
We ride 100% paved roads with high curve density with constant changes in elevation. And with scenic views. Most of the roads are small secondary roads with light or very light traffic. Generally good road surfaces, but occasional narrow rural sections.
Can I visit Turkish side of Cyprus?
Yes you can, but not with a rental motorcycle. If you want to visit Turkish side, stay an extra night or two in Larnaka after the tour. You can go there by a rental car or in Nicosia you can simply walk to Turkey.
There are 2 crossing points for pedestrians.
What are the driving days like?
Driving days are easy going and we have time for photo-stops and coffee-breaks. Normally we start at 9am and arrive to next hotel in good time. In good time means, that you have relaxing time for a beer or two before shower and going to the dinner!
How big is the group?
All PeterPanPlanet’s tours are always small group tours. It means maximum 10 motorcycles for a better experience.
How heavy tour is this?
This is a 2/5 tour when measured with PeterPanPlanet’s demandingness meter. So yes, it’s an easy-going trip and the length of the days depend a lot on how many stops for what ever reason we have during the day. However we are at the next hotel every day in good time! And, it’s also possible to make every day a bit longer or shorter. This is a bit lighter tour than Olympia.
Who is this tour suitable for me?
This tour is ideal for riders with some experience. It’s not good for the 1st tour abroad because of the high number of small curvy roads. But with some years of experience, you love those small curvy roads. Also Greece and Cyprus are great destinations if you like history!
Can I bring a passenger?
Yes, passengers are very much welcome on this tour.
Is there a support vehicle?
No, there is no support vehicle, so all your belongings are moving with you on the bike. But you can naturally travel to Greece and Cypros with a suitcase and leave it to the rental shop in both countries!
Can I book this tour privately?
Yes, we can organize this tour for your own group during months 4-10. Dates and details can be customized. But keep in mind that if you want to come especially in June or July it can be very hot and crowded.
What is Athens like?
If you have time, it’s a good idea to take an extra day to Athens before the tour starts! Acropolis is one of those world calss sights everyone should visit atleast once!
