D 1 ° > Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago

Arrival to Caribbean and the to Port of Spain at Trinidad & Tobago. Welcome dinner in the evening! 

 

D 02 ° Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago - St George, Grenada 

Around noon we have a 45 minutes flight to Grenada and it’s capital St George. And when we talk about capitals at Caribbean small countries, the number of is not 6- or 7-digits. Just 5, and St George has 35000 inhabitants.

 

D 03 ° Grenada

75km, 4-7h  

Caribbean is known of it’s beautiful hills, mountains volcanoes and you will understand on your 1st driving they why! Our 1st stop today might be at Seven Sisters Waterfalls. And there is a Rum distillery in Grenada also, River Antoine Estate Rum Distillery… if we are interested! :]

D 04 ° St George, Grenada - Kingstown, St Vincent & Grenadines

Today we have a 45 minutes. morning to our next country, St Vincent & Grenadines and it’s capital Kingstown. Kingston’s population is 15000 and the metropolitan area is 26000. The size of the country is 389 km2. 

 

D 05 ° St Vincent & Grenadines 

75km, 4-6h 

Today the best curves of St Vincent and Wallilabou Bay. In the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Port Royal was here. And there are still a lot of things left from the movie scooting. Later today we will visit Hand2Earth Vetiver Heritage Site. It’s an ecological and cultural center which is connecting environmental protection and historical heritage into today’s life! 

 

D 06 ° Kingstown, St Vincent & Grenadines - Bridgetown, Barbados 

Hey, we are flying once again. Today we have a 50 minutes afternoon flight to Barbados and it’s capital Bridgetown, where we will spend our rest of the afternoon. Historic Bridgetown is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

 

D 07 ° Barbados 

86km, 4-7h

If you/we like rom there is the famous Mount Gay Rom Distillery on our route today! It’s also the northernmost point today. And from there we drive down to awesome Kitridge Point and back to Kingstown. 

 

D 08 ° Bridgetown, Barbados - Castries, St Lucia 

Afternoon flight from Bridgetown to Casteries at St Lucia. Casteries is a capital with about 15000 inhabitants, metropolitan area is about 35000. Size of St Lucia is 238km2. Casterias City View Point is a nice place to visit if you feel for a little walk.

 

D 09 ° St Lucia 

136km, 5-7h 

An other magnificent driving day! From Castries, we head south to La Tourney with superb landscapes. La Tourney is at the south end of the island. It’s also a great place for a swim & lunch. Back to Castries we drive the Atlantic side of St Lucia. 

 

D 10 ° Castries, St Lucia - Roseau, Dominica

Today our flight is in the late morning, so we arrive to Roseau, Dominica at lunch time. And for today’s exercise, climb up to Mome Bruce Viewpoint. It next to the nice botanical garden and there is a cool Top Bar! 

 

D 11 ° Dominica 

125km, 5-7h 

Dominica is the Corsica of the Caribbean. So all roads go up and down all the time without any straights! So yes, if you want you can have here a Suzuki Jimmy car also instead of Yamaha Jog 125cc! 

 

D 12 ° Roseau, Dominica - St John’s, Antigua & Barbuda

According to the timetable we take of 0910 from Roseau to Antigua & Barbuda’s St John’s. St. John’s is a vibrant, colorful mix of colonial history and modern Caribbean life. Waterfront is always buzzing, but the real soul of the city is found just a few blocks inland. A great place to visit is Museum of Antigua and Barbuda. Housed in the 1750 Colonial Court House (the oldest building in the city), this museum is small but packed. It covers everything from the island's geological formation to Arawak artifacts and the history of the sugar trade.

 

D 13 ° Antigua & Barbuda 

90km, 4-7h 

Our second last driving day at the Caribbean. And we drive to the great Devil’s Bridge National Park. On the way is Moon Bay Beach which is a very beautiful place for a swim of the day. 

 

D 14 ° St John’s, Antigua & Barbuda - Basseterre, St Kitts & Nevis

Our last internal flight takes as in the early afternoon to last county of our Caribbean adventure, St kitts & Nevis. Places to visit in Basseterre are The Circus. Modeled after London’s Piccadilly Circus, this is the city's social hub with an ornate green Victorian clock tower and fountain built in 1883. It’s the perfect spot for people-watching. On other place near by is Independence Square. Originally called Pall Mall Square, this park was the site of the slave market during the colonial era. Today, it is a peaceful green space with a central fountain. It is surrounded by beautiful Georgian-style buildings.

 

D 15 ° St Kitts & Nevis 

85km, 4-7h 

Today we ride around St Kitts, take a swim at beautiful Gong Beach and ride to island south and to the shipwreck. And in the evening is the time for farewell dinner, unfortunately! Time flies when you are on the road! Or maybe we should say, when you are ta archipelago!

 

D 16 ° Basseterre, St Kitts & Nevis >

Time to say thank you to Caribbean and fly home. If you came with BA, your return flight will be at 1800.

It’s a scooter. You will have 7 different scooters from 125cc to 250cc. Exact brand and model we know when we are at each rental shop! 

Scooters are good for 2. Our luggages on driving days are; sun lotion, water bottle, swimming gear and a towel!

Do I need any visas for Caribbean tour?

EU citizens do not need visas for short-term visits to any of this tours countries. Because of strong historical ties and reciprocal agreements, your EU passport is essentially a "golden ticket" in the region for tourism. Same goes for Canadian and US passports holders. No visas required!

Is there straight flights from Europe to and from this tour’s 1st and last city?

Yes. This program is adapted to work with British Airways straight flights from London to the Port of Spain in Trinidad & Tobago on day 1. And on day 16 there is BA flight from Basseterre (St Kitts & Nevis) to London. If you come from North America, American Airlanes and Air Canada has very good connections to Caribbean!

 

Do I have to spend a lot of time at the airports when flying between islands?

There are six short flights at our destination countries from one island to the other. But the airports are near the cities, airports are small and the flights are short. Mainly 45 min to 1 hour. So you have the most of the every flight day free time to explore the departure and/or destination city. It’s more like taking a bus. Go to the station, travel, feel free at the destination.

 

What is the weather like?

Dry, sunny, and breezy. February and March are the best months to visit Caribbean countries! You’ll get clear blue skies, low humidity, and temperatures ranging from 26°C to 32°C. Occasional tropical rain showers are possible, but they just fresh you up!

How are the driving days?

Our driving days are easy going. We begin and end each driving they from the same location and we drive without the luggage. All you need for each driving day is sun lotion, swimming gear and a towel. You can even take a day for your self if you don’t feel to do it with the group. A normal driving they with the group is around the island or around a part of it!

Is this a guided motorcycle tour?

Yes, this is a fully guided tour. But we do it with a Caribbean style. We don’t have any exact itinerary for each day. We visit the main sights and smaller sights with a free falling timetable. And sometimes we have a bit longer swimming break than some other times. We ride coastal routes on and sometimes we have a bit longer small town break than some other times.

 

Is this tour right for me?

This Caribbean scooter adventure is for all of us who can ride a scooter. But that said, it’s not suitable for complete beginners or first-time riders, you must have some experience of riding with 2 wheels with an engine!

What are the roads and traffic like?

You can expect. Mostly paved island roads with light to moderate traffic. Also Narrow coastal routes in some areas.
