D1 ° Arrival in Seoul via Incheon. 

From the airport Airport Express train (45min) to Seoul city center.

Accommodation and first steps into the city.

 

D2 ° Seoul - DMZ - Seoul

Half-day trip to Asia's most famous border. DMZ zone, which divides South and North Korea. Departure around 8am. Return around 3pm. Rest of the day at your own time.

 

P3 ° Seoul

Wonders of Seoul. Gyeongbokgung Palace, one of Seoul's main attractions. National Museum of Korea? Seoul Tower. Bukchon Hanok Village. Bongeneusa Temple.

 

P4 ° Seoul - Gyeongju

By train to Gyeongju. Travel time 3h 49m. At sunset Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, a former palace area and pond. Illuminated in the evening, it is truly atmospheric and one of the most picturesque places in Gyeongju

 

P5 ° Gyeongju

Gyeongju is known as the “museum without walls”, as it was the capital of the ancient Silla Kingdom for almost 1000 years. The city is full of UNESCO sites, temples and historical landscapes.

 

P6 ° Gyeongju - Busan

By train to Busan. Travel time 1h 30min. In the afternoon, ‘Busan’s Santorini’ Gamcheon Culture

Village. Colorful houses on the hillside. Street art and cafes.

 

P7 ° Busan

Busan as you wish. Busan is famous for its stunning beaches, magnificent landscapes and

its glass-bottomed gondola lift that rises to heights. The city also has the country’s largest fish market.

 

P8 ° Busan - Jeju

Morning and early afternoon still in Busan. In the afternoon, a half-hour flight to Jeju Island, which is

South Korea’s natural paradise. Jeju is a volcanic island full of waterfalls, lava tubes, beaches and dramatic scenery. It is popular with both Korean and international tourists.

Half-day flight from Taipei, Taiwan. Flight time 1h 30m. Taipei combines skyscrapers, mountain views, hot springs and delicious street food. The city is compact and easy to explore by metro. Afternoon Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Impressive monument and square. Changing of the Guard ceremony on the hour. Evening night market (must experience!). Shilin Night Market – the largest and most famous or Raohe Street Night Market – compact and atmospheric. Local food specialties. Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), oyster omelette and bubble tea!

P13 ° Taipei - Jihouen - Taipei

Jiufen is a small mountain village on the coast of northern Taiwan, about an hour from Taipei. It is known for its narrow, winding alleys, red lanterns and traditional teahouses that descend the hillside to the seascape. The village has historically been a gold mining center, and its atmosphere is nostalgic and magical, especially on foggy evenings, when the old buildings and lanterns create a cinematic atmosphere. Jiufen combines natural beauty, traditional culture and a wealth of local delicacies, making it one of Taiwan's most photographed destinations.

The trip ends. There are several return options.

- The so-called standard option is from Taipei via Hong Kong to Helsinki. Finnair departs from Hong Kong at 2145.

- If you haven't experienced Hong Kong yet. Take a cheap afternoon flight to Hong Kong (no visa required). Spend the night and the next day in Hong Kong and return on day 15.
