Day 1

> Las Vegas

Gathering at our hotel in Las Vegas until 7 pm! Then it's time for welcome to Highway 1 Budwaisers. After a Budweiser or two, we might want to eat something and visit the famous Fremont Street... where you can have in a picture with you all kinds of celebrities  ;)

Day 3

Needles - Joshua Tree NP - Yucca Valley

Go West... and there in the west is our Pearl of the day, Unique Joshua Tree National Park. But first, we drive south to Vidal Junction. And you will notice very clearly today, that there is a lot of empty space in US.

Day 5

Venice Beach - Morro Bay - Cambria

Breakfast on Santa Monica pier... also famous for many movies. And then we leave the crowded Los Angeles area behind us! In Morro Bay, we say HiHouHello to the Sea Lion colony. After a great day on HW1, we stop for the night to the small beautiful Cambria.

Day 7

San Francisco

Day off as you wish in San Francisco. If you want to visit Alcazar, it's a good idea to book before our tour starts. Popular Fisherman's Raft is a great place to spend so time. Riding with the old trolly on the hills of San Francisco is as well a fun thing to do.

Day 9

Gaberville - Av. off Giants - Redding

One of top the attractions of our tour is Avenue of The Giants which we drive from end to end, 50,8km. You will also see the famous 'drive through' tree... and you will drive through!

Day 11

Reno

Day off in Reno! Kind of a must in Reno is the superb National Automobile Museum. One of the best car museums in the country.

Day 13

Mariposa - Yosemite NP - Bishop

Yes, again. The best driving day ever... again :] ! But we believe you can handle it all the way through stunning Yosemite National Park across the Sierra Nevada mountains. And all the way to down Bishop!

Las Vegas >

US Highway 1 tour ends. You are free to fly home any time... but, if you have not been to Las Vegas before, you might want to stay here for an extra night or two! :]

Day 2

Las Vegas - Oatman - Needles

Our 1st destination is a little gem on the legendary Route 66, Oatman. An old silver mining town where is a bank robbery every day at noon.! From Oatman, we continue to Needles, a small border town at California's and Nevada's border.

Day 4

Yucca Valley - Dana Point - Venice Beach

Today you will see more traffic than yesterday... much more. However, we have a very beautiful ride to the coast and Dana Point, to the starting point of US Highway 1. We end our day at the very colourful Venice Beach... famous for many many movies.

Day 6

Cambria - Hearst Castle - San Francisco

A piece of Las Vegas in California... that you can say from the overwhelming Hearst Castle which is a 'must see' on HW1. Rest of the day we stay on the magnificent HW1 all the way to the San Francisco city centre! And yes, this is one of those 'best driving day ever' days! :]

Day 8

San Francisco - Legget - Gaberville

This is the second 'best driving day ever on this tour' .... but not the last...  In the morning we cross Golden Gate and continue the awesome coastal road to the end point of HW1, Legget. Today you will also see your first giants of nature, Red Woods before Gaberville.

Day 10

Redding - Lassen Volcanic NP - Reno

Today we have a very beautiful driving day again! Small roads and nice views. The highlight of the day is Lassen Volcanic National Park! Later in the afternoon, we drive through Plumas National Forest. And our destination today is the 'little brother' of Las Vegas. Fabulous Reno!

Day 12

Reno - South Lake Tahoe - Mariposa

Fun on the road with 2 wheels continues! And very soon after we have left Reno, we climb up to Mt Rose and descend on the other side of Mt Rose to picturesque Lake Tahoe. From Lake Tahoe, we take Alpine State HW down to Jackson and continue to the small Mariposa for the night.

Day 14

Bishop - Death Valley - Las Vegas

Today we leave the Sierra Nevada mountains behind us and drive to the lowest place in North America, Death Valley National Park which is a part of Mohave Desert... as is Las Vegas. And it's time for the farewell dinner and the lights of Vegas.
