Aloha Hawaii Motorcycle Tour 11 d

Aloha! Arrival day to Honolulu! Almost every time is a good arrival time. How ever, we hope you are at the hotel latest 8m so we can have a welcome beers together… and talk about tomorrow and up coming days!

A relaxing breakfast (again ;), morning swim, and to the north. O’ahu's north which is more remote area. We drive inland up to Kawela Bay and from there we take the very beautiful small coastal road via Kaaawa (with 3 a) back to the south! Overnight at the same hotel! ​​Aloha

Today we drive around Haleakala National Park and Haleakala Volcano… and it’s a very very beautiful ride! On the North-East side of Maui we pass Koolau Forest Reserve on numerous curves! You love it… if you love curvy roads! And with our Hawaii's standards, it’s a bit long day before we are back to our hotel!​
 

Flying day … around noon we fly to our third island, tropical and volcanic Big Island! Our base at Big Island will be in Kailua-Kona! And the rest of the is a paragliding day, bar day, beach day, cultural day or so! Enjoy the life which is the best part of biker’s life… as you already know!​
 

This is our longest day by time and kilometers… but not too bad at all! And today we drive south to Volcanoes Natural Park, which you have most likely seen from TV… if you have not been to Hawaii before!? If the road is open we drive through Volcanos NP to Holei Sea Arch! If not, then we have time to continue to Kalapana and drive a stretch of beautiful 137 and the up to Hilo! And yes, this is the exception day, we do not drive back to our ‘Island Home’. We are radical and stay overnight in Hilo so we need to back with us some essentials in the morning!​

Time to say goodbye to Hawaii. Your room is paid until noon! And the hotel owner is for sure just happy if you want to stay an extra night or two!

A relaxing breakfast, morning swim, and to the HD-rental company! When the paperwork is done we drive to the magnificent Halona Blowhole and from there to Waimanalo Beach for a coffee, ice-cream, swim… or whatever :) … In the late afternoon we visit the world-famous Pearl Harbour. If you feel the drive a bit more around Honolulu, feel free... but come home at the dinner time! 
 

A relaxed stressless morning… again! Actually it is like this on this tour! :)  Around noon we fly to our second island, tropical Maui! Our base at Maui will be in Kihei! And the rest of the day is a trekking day, bar day, beach day, cultural day or so! Enjoy life, it's the best part of biker’s life!

So yes, there will be many beautiful curves today also! An other highlight of the day is Ho’okipa beach. This is the place where the huge green sea turtles come to rest in afternoons!

And yes, we stop here on the way back to the hotel.

Today we drive, not to the sky but to 3000m anyway. To the end of the Mauna Loa observatory road which runs in the middle of black lave fields. And it's opposite the 4000m high Mauna Kea. From Mauna Loa, we drive to the Big Islands North end, Hawi, for a sunny ice-cream or so!? And from Havi back home to Kona at the costal 270 road!​
 

Our last driving day in Hawaii… on this tour! We drive first up to the north magnificent Mauna Kea on the clutch had side and the Pacific Ocean on the front brake hand side! If you want to take a short cut back to Kona, it is possible from Waiinea it possible. Our official route goes anyway via Pololu Valley, which is also a good lunch place! From Pololu back to Hawi and from there 270, which we know already, to Kona! And yes, it’s time to say goodbye to our Big Island Harley’s. However, if you have tomorrow a late flight you can return you bike tomorrow! Farewell dinner in the evening!
