How beautiful is this famous quote…

Perfect for most motorcyclists dreaming of exploring new landscapes.

Crazy truth is too many of them rarely anticipate the difficulties and the challenges they will probably face on the road.

A reality easily neglected before traveling on a motorcycle.

Yes, it is quite certain to get lost.

And with bad luck, to break down on a rainy day on an empty road.

Classic menacing challenges need to be carefully thought before starting your journey.

These issues are not particularly frightening. But they can happen.

It is important to consider them when planning a 🏍️ adventure.

Whether you are going on your first long-distance road trip 👍

Or you have decided to explore the greatest roads in the world 😎

One or many of these challenges will pop up on your exciting journey.

So, better for you to be ready for them 😊

  1. Exhaustion and Physical Tension

Full day driving is tiring, consecutive hours and days on a motorcycle cause muscle fatigue to all bikers. The back, the legs, the wrists, are in constant move during the ride. Other important challenges like the wind and the vibrations add to the driver's discomfort. Remember to stop often for a break. Keep always water with you, drink even if you are not thirsty. Be alert about your physical condition before you get on your bike.

  1. Different types of weather

Hot or Cold, two extreme driving conditions bikers need to be cautious about. Summertime, or in desert climate areas, overheating is dangerous for everyone. Drink water often! And in very cold weather, not having the right clothing can cause hypothermia. Don’t underestimate both extreme conditions!

  1. Storage and Overpacking

A top rule for motorcycle travel, pack the essentials for you and your bike on the trip, and don’t do overpacking. Too much storage is heavy for you and affects your balance in slow traffic or off-road conditions. Avoid breakable objects, choose practical and not too big. On the road, you will realize you don’t need much…

  1. Mechanical Problems

You don’t want to experience dramatic mechanical issues on your journey. Your bike has to be in great condition before your departure. Regular maintenance is essential for a good riding journey. You want to go far? Take good care of your bike!

  1. Be Mentally Prepared

The excitement of the early days of the trip will be challenged, guaranteed! Identify early your limiting beliefs, be ready to “let go” and trust yourself for the best. When the weather or the road is testing you, believe in you and your skills to overcome the conditions. The Adventure will help you to grow!

  1. Dangers on the Road

Traffic, speed, wildlife, terrain conditions… Some countries, some cities, some regions, are more hazardous than others. It might be very hard to drive in these extreme situations. Remember to stay vigilant all the time. Fatigue might affect your attention on the road, avoid difficult driving if you are not in good health.

  1. Navigation Tools

Modern navigation tools are excellent but you can’t rely solely on a smartphone and your batteries. Unexpected detours, road closures, limited signal areas… These hurdles are possible, compass and good paper maps are also great tools to have with you. Even if you use them shortly, they might be excellent help in demanding situations.

Now, which of these unspoken challenges will be harder?

Hard to say.

Each of them can be painful and affect the good condition of your motorcycle journey.

Some 🏍️ trips go smoothly even with poor preparation, and other journeys are more tough despite a great preparation.

It all depends.

Remember: You and Your Motorcycle Are Keys for the Tour Success!

Only thing to be sure… You will be tested.

The Main Thing is to keep safe and to return in good condition, both of you!

After the trip, Imagine all the amazing stories you will be able to tell to your friends, to your family…

And what an extraordinary and unforgettable experience you will have…

Priceless! That’s Adventure!
